Mojave River Valley Museum

General Membership Meetings:
   These meetings are usually on the last Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7:30 at the Museum. There is always a very short business meeting, a guest speaker, and refreshments.

Board Meetings:
   Our board meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 at the Museum, and everyone is welcome to attend.

May 10, 42nd Annual Museum BBQ
   This is our annual Fund Raising and everyone is welcome. Our hours on May 10 will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm , with dinner served at Dana Park from 11 am to 5 pm, talks at the Museum from 11:00 am to 4:00, Raffle Drawing at 4 pm, etc, etc, etc. The theme for the 2008 BBQ will be Native American culture in the Mojave Desert. We have some outstanding programs planned.
   As always, we will be needing help. Call President Steve Smith at 760-256-8123 or email him at barstow@verizon.net if you would like to contribute to the success of the Annual Museum BBQ and Family Picnic. Or drop off a note at the Museum or call the Museum at 256-5452.
   As a member (or even a non-member) you can help by buying the dinner tickets we send you, coming to the BBQ on May 10, buying the Raffle tickets we send you and calling MayBelle at 253¬-7281 for extra dinner and/or raffle tickets, and finally by inviting a friend and your family to join us.

MRVM Field Trips:

Desert Explorers Trips:
If you are a member of the Desert Explorers you are also a member of the Mojave River Valley Museum. Most of these trips require a 4-wheel drive vehicle and a CB. For information on becoming a member go to www.desertexplorers.org. or call 909-887-1549.

Early Man Site:
   Tours are available Wednesdays through Sundays. Workdays are scheduled for the first full weekend of each month. Contact Fred Budinger at fbudinger@aol.com or call him at 909-307-2669, extension 265.
